Kenzo is a French fashion house founded in 1970 by Japanese designer Kenzo Takada, who was born in Japan and moved to Paris in 1964 to start his fashion career. He then became known for using Asian influenced style with the construction of European fashion. In 1970, he founded his first Parisian boutique, called Jungle Jap. He started by offering hand-made dresses for women. The brand got recognition and became Kenzo after a fashion in New York in 1976.
In 1983, Kenzo started designing men and then kids and home collections in 1987. In 1988, he made his debut fragrance by launching "Kenzo for Women".
The earliest edition was created in 1988 and the newest is from 2025.
