Rochas is a French fashion and perfume house founded in 1925 by Marcel Rochas. Initially a couture house known for its innovative designs, including the 2/3-length coat and skirts with pockets, Rochas later found great success with its fragrances.

In 1936 Marcel Rochas launched his first three perfumes Audace, Air Jeune, and Avenue Matignon. These were initially sold exclusively in his Paris boutique. The iconic Femme was created by perfumer Edmond Roudnitska as a tribute to Marcel Rochas' wife, Hélène in 1945. In 1949 Rochas launched its first men's fragrance, Moustache. After Marcel Rochas' death, his young widow Hélène took over the company, shifting the focus towards fragrances and building it into a multi-million dollar enterprise. In 1960, Madame Rochas, a sophisticated floral aldehyde fragrance, was launched as a tribute to Hélène Rochas.

Rochas perfumes are known for their elegance, sophistication, and a touch of French flair, carrying the legacy of the fashion house's founder and his vision of celebrating femininity and audacity. The brand continues to release new fragrances while honoring its classic creations.
