Paco Rabanne is a fashion house in France that was founded in 1966. Its founder was Francisco “Paco” Rabaneda Cuervo, a fashion designer originally born in Spain. He fled Spain during the Spanish Civil War and grew up in Paris. After training as an architect, he began his fashion career creating jewelry for other fashion houses. He eventually moved on to eclectic clothing fashions, using materials such as paper and metal in his designs. He released his first perfume in 1969.
